This should be one of those books everyone reads when it starts to snow - set during December, as the calender counts down to Christmas, it's a clever, complicated investigation into a seemingly motiveless murder. But who was supposed to be the real victim?

As with all Nesbo's books there are lots of red herrings and the odd gory bit (I won't look at a vacuum cleaner in quite the same way) which means you just race through it and then want to start reading the next one straight away.
