Hard-nosed modern noir doesn't get much darker or harder than in this touching story of an old Mafiosi hunting down the killer of his murdered son. Imagine Beat Takeshi remaking the final reel of The Godfather with pen and ink. It's so beautifully drawn that you'll quickly understand why when it comes to comics the Italians believe the Americans can't touch them.

Igor Tuveri, otherwise known as Igort, has produced what may well be the best crime comic of the past five years. What makes 5 is the Perfect Number stand out is the visual experience. Every page is a joy in composition and staging.
