As part of our celebrations for the 21st anniversary of Vintage Books, for one day only we’ll be throwing wide our doors and offering 30 lucky guests a sneak peek at the mysteries of the publishing process.
- Short talks from Dan Franklin (publisher at Jonathan Cape), production managers, designers, and sales, publicity and marketing directors will guide you through the process from manuscript to bookshelf.
- Author Kevin Barry discuss the acquisition, editing and publishing of his new book, City of Bohane, with his editor and literary agent.
- Booksellers, publishers and digital editors will consider the future of publishing in the brave new world of ebooks, Kindles and apps.
- Prize-winning Vintage author Rose Tremain will drop by to discuss her experience of publishing with her longstanding editor, Penny Hoare, and sign copies of her new bestseller, Trespass.
Lunch, refreshments and Vintage goodie bags will be provided.
